This team has a largely clean bill of health for the first time in a while after Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray both returned the other night.
MPJ played nearly 27 minutes in his first game back from a heel injury, which was a few more than we expected. I doubt he’ll suddenly go soaring past 30 minutes in this one. Jamal Murray (1.07 FP/min) looks like his old self already, and he came close to cracking 40 minutes on Friday. He’s one of my favorite midrange values on the entire slate.
Bruce Brown still has a role off the bench, but the minutes will be harder to come by now that Murray and Porter are back. The minutes for Bones Hyland are trending in the wrong direction, too. Aaron Gordon and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope fall down the pecking order from a usage standpoint with everybody healthy.
Nikola Jokic was a little overshadowed by Murray’s exploits on Friday, but he still went out there and posted a ho-hum 29 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds in 36 minutes of work.
