Could Jokic hang 70 fantasy points on the Wolves in 3 quarters? Absolutely. It’s not necessarily the most likely outcome, but I’d expect the blowout risk to scare his ownership down a bit. Murray is still a solid value in the midrange for tournaments, but there are safer ways to spend at point guard tonight. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Michael Porter are fairly cheap. Porter would see a little more usage if Aaron Gordon (questionable) sits out, but he wouldn’t get a significant bump.
Bruce Brown and Jeff Green would be candidates to start if Gordon sits this one out. Brown’s the one that would be more on my radar, as it seems safe to assume the Nuggets won’t give Green a boatload of minutes in any scenario. Running it back with a Nugget makes sense in GPPs considering we’ll be trotting out a handful of Warriors tonight, and the payoff potential is massive if Wolves can somehow keep this one respectable.
Minnesota:
With Karl-Anthony Towns still out, Anthony Edwards (+1.9%) and D’Angelo Russell (+1.5%) predictably see elevated usage rates. The matchup is far from elite tonight, but both still offer significant upside. Russell is the better point-per-dollar value, but Edwards has stepped it up in a big way of late. Kyle Anderson and Jaden McDaniels are still playing big-minute roles on the wings. Anderson’s priced at a premium these days, while McDaniels (13.9%) still doesn’t get much usage even without Towns. Jaylen Nowell brings instant offense off the bench, but he’s tougher to trust at his price point with D-Lo back.
